More and more, I think about how life is so much about moving forward.
With our passions, in our careers and relationships, and in life in general. You have to move, and always forward.
Almost 2 years ago, I was set to attend school. Having received multiple acceptances to a variety of non-writing programs, I suddenly got cold feet.
I now know that it’s because I wasn’t following my heart. At that point 2 years ago, I wasn’t writing yet. Oh boy, did writing change things…
At the end of March, I’ll be heading back to school, finally confident about my next educational steps.
Since “becoming” a writer, I’ve sought to hone my craft. In practice, I’ve strived. I’ve also explored artistic communities and even founded a literary magazine called From Whispers to Roars (which is THRIVING by the way).
And while all of my writing has always been for me, I wanted something more. So I’m making an investment in myself – one that will take time, hard work, money, and focus.
I’m excited to share that I’ll be pursuing my MA in Creative Writing at The University of Denver.
I’m sharing this with all of you because this has been an evolutionary happening. Following my creative passions has open doors, leading me to incredible opportunities – ones that even a year ago I never could have predicted or imagined.
I’m going to school to develop and improve my craft.
I’m moving forward.
Always forward.
